Put the “Spring” Back in Your Step This Season

Fitness Tips for Warmer Weather

Whether you stuck with a solid workout program through the winter, or spent most of your time curled up under a blanket (hey, we’re not judging!), it can sometimes be hard to find the motivation to get into another program when Spring arrives. Winter can leave us feeling tired and lethargic, and during those days that are still cloudy and gloomy as Spring approaches, going out for a run isn’t always our top priority.

So, how can you find the motivation to get out there and feel great about your workouts this Spring? Keep these tips in mind as you step back into a regular fitness routine. It won’t take long for you to get the ‘spring’ back in your step!

Set Realistic Goals

Giving yourself goals is a great way to get motivated. But, it’s important to make sure those goals are realistic. In short, don’t expect to see instant results in a week or so. Giving yourself unrealistic expectations can lead to disappointment, and might cause you to give up early. Consistency is the most important thing, so set your workout schedule and stick with it, and you’ll see results!

Start Weight Training

If you’ve always been a cardio lover, you should definitely keep up with some kind of exercise that is going to get your heart beating. But, it’s also always a good time to introduce weight training into your routine. Weight training is especially important for women. Not only does it help to burn more calories, but by building muscle, it helps to turn your body into a machine that burns calories all the time! Weight training also helps to give your body shape, and it’ll leave your arms and legs looking toned and lean for the upcoming summer months.

Don’t Overdo It

If you’ve been waiting for months for warm weather to arrive so you can start a new workout routine, you might be extra motivated. That’s great, and can help you to get started on the right foot. However, don’t take that motivation too far. Overtraining can be a serious problem, and eventually lead to injury if you’re not careful. The most important thing you can do is listen to your body. If you feel extremely fatigued, or sore, give yourself a day of rest. Muscles need rest in order to repair and work properly, so ‘days off’ are sometimes just as important as hard workouts.

Your Fittest Spring Ever

There are dozens of healthy Spring tips to keep in mind as we switch seasons, and you switch up your workout routine. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned fitness enthusiast, or someone who really wants to start a transformation this year. Listen to your body, make healthy choices, and choose workouts that are fun and exciting for you. That will help to carry you through the Spring, Summer, and beyond, until fitness simply becomes a part of your lifestyle that you can’t live without.

And don’t forget about having great workout wear to keep up that motivation… you’ll not only look and feel great, you will be so completely impressed by the quality and workmanship that goes into all the TightBunz ‘wear’.
